'Fringe' kills me. Just when I think I've got a handle on the show's mythology, timelines, overlapping universes and duplicate lives, they go and erase one of my favorite characters from existence.All season -- and since last season's finale, really -- fans have been rallying to "Save Peter," wondering in not-so-subtle ways when the hell Joshua Jackson and his on-screen alter-ego Peter Bishop would return.
Well, this week's episode, 'Subject 9' (Fri., Oct. 14, 9PM ET on Fox), now has us asking a new question: Has Peter Bishop returned? The previews show Olivia struggling with some very strong energies that are specifically targeting her to send her a message. But what's the message, and who's it really from?
I caught up with star John Noble (whom I hadn't seen since his character Walter stripped down to his skivvies in a scene we took part in last season -- "and you never forgot it," he reminded me with a laugh) to find out when old Walter will return, which version of Walter he enjoys playing the most, and more.
